In Sickness and in Health: A Guided Walk

  • City Information Centre Saint Paul's Churchyard London, England, EC4M 8BX United Kingdom (map)

Explore London’s history of medicine, disease, and healing, and reconnect with your own wellbeing through a purposeful walk.

Join accredited City of London guide Sarah Williams-Robbins (aka Mrs Londoner) for a guided tour of historic London Bridge and the City. Discover how monks, nuns, and early hospitals shaped the city’s approach to healing.

Learn about herbs, natural remedies, and the evolution of modern hospitals. Cross the Thames, once a source of illness, and explore areas now thriving with life sciences, dining, and culture.

Along the way, this walk encourages participants to enjoy the restorative benefits of a mindful, physical journey.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes ahead of the start time as walks will begin promptly.

Sarah Williams-Robbins is an experienced City of London guide with a background in health promotion. Her tours combine historical insight with practical wellbeing tips, encouraging participants to learn, move, and reflect.

Supported by The City of London Corporation’s Destination City Partnership Fund.
