Solvitur ambulando: it is solved by walking.
Saint Augustine coined that phrase in the 4th century, and it still rings true today. So much of modern life keeps us sitting at desks or stuck indoors, which can take a toll on our posture, our eyesight and, for those working from home, our sense of connection to others.
The good news? Walking is one of the simplest antidotes we have.
Join Medi-Culture for an uplifting autumn lunchtime stroll in and around Guy's Hospital and Newcomen Street. Expect green spaces, hidden history and a welcome pause in your day. We'll hear about the local innovators and green champions who've brought pocket parks and biodiversity back to the area, and walk in the footsteps of the communities who shaped it long before us.
Rain or shine, this one goes ahead, so dress for the weather.
